Humans are weird

I’ve been thinking lately – the most ironic thing about life is that humans spend so much time preparing for it, trying to fix it, complaining about it, or being too busy to even live it. In reality, the moments that mean the most and the situations that inspire us are those moments that we are just at peace, living completely in the moment. Could life really be that simple?

When we were children, each day was an adventure. What If we lived today and each day with that same mindset of curiosity and wonder? How amazing would life be if our main goal was to just wakeup and enjoy each day? I think that in today’s society, it’s almost seen as irresponsible to enjoy life. For some, even the thought simply enjoying the day brings up excuses like ” I can’t do this because ___ ” or ” Yeah, that easier said than done. It’s almost impossible to enjoy life when ____ ” It’s so unfortunate that we’re taught to set ourselves up for life and not live it. It’s not considered “normal” to live with the sole purpose to create something beautiful for the sake of enjoyment, make art daily, and spend time with loved ones. But why not?

Hello everyone!

I’m back from the dead! “insert laughing emoji here*

No but really, it has literally been FOREVER since I wrote a post. I’m not going to lie, the main reason is because I haven’t been as inspired now that my schedule is more full. Between school, work, and now dancing; I leave the house at 7:30am and get home at 10:30pm.

This is a huge change from last semester; where I had the majority of the mornings/ afternoons to myself. I am, however, thankful for my busy schedule because it forces me to be productive. Oddly enough, this is when I am the most at peace and relaxed.

My Travel Essentials + Tips/ Hacks


Hello Everyone! It has seriously been ages since I wrote a post! This semester has been a crazy one. Between work, school, and some major life transitions I found it hard to keep up posting regularly. Now that the semester is over ( thank god ) I plan to stick to a regular schedule.

With the holidays right around the corner, I know many people will be traveling. I personally will be visiting multiple cities in just under two weeks!  Plus, half of my family lives in Chicago and half lives in California, so I regularly travel between those two cities. I always get so excited for my trips to see family, of course, but also because I love to get organized and pack my suitcase! Over the years ( and through learned experience ) I have developed a system for myself when I go on my trips so I know exactly what I will need to bring to have a comfortable flight. I have tried many “hacks” on Pintrest; some worked and others, well, not so much. I’m going to be sharing some of my in flight essentials as well as practical tips that have helped me get the most of my travels. Whether your going to be traveling for two weeks or two days, hopefully you get some tips that you can take with you this holiday season!

Living A Balanced Life



We all wear many “hats” and play many roles in our everyday lives. Right now, I am a Marketing Manager, Coach, Student, Friend, Daughter, Sister, Blogger, Dancer, Vegan, and more. Each of these roles requires different aspects of my personality. I’ve noticed lately that it’s easy for me to get caught up in only one or two of these roles and spend less energy on the others. Life gets un balanced when we have multiple roles demanding our attention at the same time and we give too much of our attention to one of the “roles.”

5 Ways To Declutter Your Life and Clear Your Mind


Hi everyone! I was inspired to do this post about ways to organize and declutter your life because these past few weeks I noticed that I was getting a lot done, but still did not feel peace of mind. I was meditating, eating healthy, working out, but still felt a bit scatter brained and “urgent”, so to speak. I really looked at WHY I was feeling this way and what was the root of the stress. Than it hit me that there were alot of subtle things that have gone overlooked that were adding to my stress. Once I took some time to declutter these areas of my life, I felt so much better.

Here are some tips that helped me and things you can do when you feel like your life is getting a little bit chaotic. 24 Most important Lessons I’ve learned at 24


I feel like 24 is a scary age because your no longer young, yet you are not quite an adult.  Your youthful days of going out are coming to an end and you come to terms with the fact that in 6 years you will be 30. Honestly growing up I always thought at 24 I would have my degree and I would be married, or atealst be with the person I plan to marry. This year is a special birthday since it is my golden birthday. Part of me wishes I was going on a beautiful cruise around the carribean sipping green juice and laying in the sun. I wish I could say I had big plans for my golden. But instead, I am sitting infront of this computer writing this blog post. I wanted to create something special for my golden so i’m going back and recalling the 24 most important life lessons I have learned. I hope that by sharing what I have learned it may help you remember the important lessons that life is trying to teach you.

Below are the most valuable lessons I have learned in my 24 years. These are definately not the only ones. I feel like we are always learning each day, but these lessons have shaped who I am as a person. Disclaimer: this is going to be a long one!
