The other day, I came across a quote that read this.

For some reason, it caused me to pause mid-day and contemplate the meaning of this on a deeper level… all during my daily coffee break at work ( Nothing like questioning the existence and meaning of life during your average day in the office. ) In any case, anything this impactful must be looked at on a deeper level in my book.

Top 8 Minimalist Travel Essentials

My backpack and duffle bag have become my trusty companions for the next 6 months. Traveling minimal is actually quite new for me, so I really had to experiment with what it is I actually need in addition to doing some research.

I’d be lying if I said I never used to overpack on my trips. However, I’ve actually found that having less things makes life so much easier on the go and also makes the experience much more fun! It’s nice to know that you’re using everything that you bring and also leaving space both mentally and physically to enjoy the experience and people around you. The key to traveling as minimal as possible is to pack items that can be used for multiple purposes.

Good Morning! Looking back, I’m sad to say that I didn’t make it to my 30 day challenge. Writing every day is much harder than I anticipated. However, my new goal is to keep up with posting now that school is over and I have more time!

As some of you may know, I’ve been doing quite a bit of traveling lately and plan to continue to travel after my stay in Hawaii this summer. It honestly feels like a dream come true being able to explore all the places I’ve dreamed of going. The universe is truly abundant and aligns you with your deepest desires if you’re in tune with yourself. This lifestyle is one I’ve always longed for, but never felt achievable due to circumstances. However, I’m a firm believer that if you want something in life, you just need to make it a priority and make it happen.

Day 4 – 30 Day Writing Challenge

Good Morning,

Do you ever have those mornings where you wakeup and you’re already in such a good mood? Maybe it’s the fact that it’s the weekend, or maybe it’s because my brother is here from out of town. Regardless, I can tell that today is going to be a great day!

On my drive up to visit my family, my thoughts centered around the idea of selfishness. Selfishness, not in the sense of self love or self care, but in the desire to achieve personal gain and recognition in every situation.

3 Easy Vegan Packable Lunches

For day 3 of my 30 day writing challenge i’m doing something a bit different. As of late, i’ve been trying to expand my food choices a bit and steer away from my usual acai bowl for lunch. I am definitely a creature of habit so normally I tend to have the same meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Since i’ve been making it a point to try some new recipes, I thought I would share some of my favorite lunches i’ve been making that are super easy to pack for school or work.

I’m excited to share these because this post is actually in collaboration with my friend Natasha from Namaste Active. With that being said, I know you guys will love these recipes. In addition to being delicious and flavorful, all of these lunches are quick, easy, inexpensive, and would work great for meal prepping. They are also all vegan and gluten free. Combined with the snacks, you have a perfectly balanced meal that will keep you satisfied for hours and provide tons of energy, without leaving you feeling heavy and gross.

Day 2 – 30 Day Writing Challenge

Hi friends,

I almost didn’t write today because i’m feeling kind of tired this morning. ( Can you believe that, it’s only day 2 lol ) But i’ve got my cup of coffee and i’m ready to take on the day!

I was thinking a lot yesterday about something. I came across a situation where some people were talking negatively about others. Granted, in this particular situation the person they were talking negative about was being extremely rude and might have deserved it. However, talking verbal negativity about this person immediately brought down the mood of the group and seemed very pointless. It was not solving any issues directly, only creating slander and perhaps starting more issues. The actual situation they were mad about was over for 30 minutes but they continuously brought up how the person was wrong and how “stupid” they were. This made me come to a realization…

Day 1 – 30 day Writing Challenge

Good Morning,

Starting today, I am going to hold myself accountable to write for at least 10 minutes a day each morning. The actual time may vary depending on the day, but for the next 30 days this is my goal. I’m doing this for many reasons and I would get off track if I explained them all now. Generally speaking, I feel like it’s important to allow time in the day for self reflection; to just stop and detach from all the things you need to do to focus on whats going on inside.
